The Safe Deliveries Roadmap collaborates with all birthing hospitals in Washington state, as well as hospitals in Alaska and Montana, in data collection and analysis, providing timely and relevant reports on all available OB/neonatal measures. We partner with the California Maternal Quality Care Collaborative (CMQCC) and their Maternal Data Center (MDC), a web-based tool that generates near real-time data and performance metrics on maternity care services for hospital participants, giving clinicians the perinatal performance metrics and benchmarking data they need to drive quality improvement. Currently, 44 hospitals representing approximately 75% of Washington’s annual births participate in the WSHA MDC.
Hospitals not currently participating in WSHA’s Maternal Data Center submit data through the Quality Benchmarking System (QBS).
Between MDC, QBS and CHARS data, the Safe Deliveries Roadmap program collects, analyzes and distributes data reports via OB DASH – to all Washington birthing hospitals – an essential component for supporting quality improvement across Washington and beyond.
