Goal: Help patients understand and use appropriate sources of care
To fulfill this goal, hospitals and emergency department physicians need to actively distribute educational materials to their patients about seeking care in the appropriate settings. Organizations can use the brochure jointly developed by WSHA, WSMA, and WA/ACEP or include the information in discharge instructions. Organizations are welcome to modify the brochures to fit the needs of their communities.
