I am thrilled to welcome Darcy Jaffe to WSHA as our new senior vice president for safety and quality. Darcy will bring a collaborative, authentic approach to accomplishing WSHA’s shared goals and outcomes. I am excited to work with her in setting regional standards for safety and quality and assisting our members in improving the health of the communities they serve.
Darcy is an expert in behavioral health and a leader in identifying and advocating for issues at the intersection of public policy and health care quality. I believe she will bring her wealth of knowledge to leading WSHA’s safety and quality department.
Darcy previously served as chief nursing officer and senior associate administrator at Harborview Medical Center in Seattle. She has served on the Harborview Medical Center Board of Trustees Joint Quality Conference, the UW Medicine Board Quality and Safety Committee and the UW Medicine Executive Data and Analytics Governance Committee. As a member of the faculty of the UW School of Nursing, she has expertise in teaching, research and publication.
Darcy has a master’s degree in nursing and is an advanced registered nurse practitioner. Additionally, she is a fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives and an alumna of the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation Nurse Executive Fellow program.
At WSHA, we are constantly working to ensure that our staff are skilled, experienced individuals best suited to serving our members and Washington communities. I am confident that Darcy will be a great addition to our team.
Sincerely,
Cassie Sauer
