To help patients choose a Medicare coverage option that best suits their needs, WSHA developed a new Medicare Facts brochure for hospitals and providers to share with Medicare eligible patients. The Medicare open enrollment period for calendar year 2025 runs from October 15 through December 7, 2024. During this period Medicare eligible patients can elect to remain in regular Medicare or select one of the various Medicare Advantage plans.
The brochure, available in both English and Spanish outlines the differences between the types of Medicare plans and provides a list of things for patients think about before making a switch. The document can be printed on 11×17 paper and folded to create a brochure and can be modified as needed. (Andrew Busz, andrewb@wsha.org)
