WSHA has prepared draft comments it plans to submit to CMS Friday regarding the Medicare Proposed 2022 Outpatient Prospective Payment System (OPPS) Ambulatory Surgical Center (ASC) rule. Members are invited to include or modify this WSHA draft language for their comments.
WSHA supports CMS’s proposal to preserve and reinstate the inpatient only list as well as its proposal to remove recent additions to the ASC covered procedures list and restore the previous review process. WSHA opposes CMS’ continuation of cuts to 340B hospitals and hospital clinics. WSHA will be submitting separate comments regarding CMS’s Rural Emergency Hospital proposal.
