The spectrum of medical therapies to treat COVID-19 continues to evolve and address SARS-CoV-2 variants. The Washington State Department of Health (DOH), the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) all distribute updates on COVID-19 therapeutics that are useful to health care providers. To assist our members in tracking and locating these updates, WSHA has created the 2022 COVID-19 Therapeutics webpage.
The 2022 COVID-19 Therapeutics webpage lists consolidated treatment authorizations, availability guidance, and other resources. WSHA staff will update the page based on alerts from the DOH Medical Countermeasure Team and communication from other health care agencies (including an update published today).
WSHA is also prioritizing consolidating multilingual therapeutics resources for providers to use to inform themselves or their patients. The page currently contains multilingual fact sheets and infographics on Paxlovid, Molnupiravir, EVUSHELD, COVID-19 testing, treatment options, spotting fraudulent tests and more. We will continue to update the page as we locate additional resources.
For questions related to COVID-19 therapeutics, please reach out to the DOH Medical Countermeasure Team at mcm@doh.wa.gov or WSHA Senior Director Tina Seery at tinas@wsha.org.
