WSHA will host the webinar “Reducing Disparities in Readmissions” from 12-1:30 p.m., Wednesday, Nov. 9, with Mass General’s Aswita Tan-McGrory. Readmissions, like other health care outcomes, disproportionately impact patients with certain characteristics, such as race, ethnicity, age, socioeconomic status and disability. Aswita is a subject matter expert on how race, ethnicity and language impact the quality and outcomes of care, and was part of a multidisciplinary group that created CMS’ Guide to Reducing Disparities in Readmissions.
This webinar aims to describe the problem of disparities in readmissions, summarize the readmissions guide and assist hospitals in planning to implement readmissions reductions efforts in diverse populations. You can register here or contact rosemaryg@wsha.org for more information. (Rosemary Grant)
