The Washington Poison Control Center (WAPC) is launching the third year of its Hospital Fair Share program, which enables hospitals to direct community benefit funds to the poison center to help sustain their core services. Thanks to the past support of their numerous hospital partners, they have been able to expand their clinical and public education outreach significantly throughout the state. In 2016 the WAPC estimated that it saved more than $18 million in health care costs.
