The Optimizing Rural Health Technical Advisory Center (ORH) is a newly created assistance opportunity from the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA). Its goal is to partner with rural communities to identify and address health care needs and challenges. This includes pinpointing opportunities to improve public health, increasing understanding of economic challenges, and working with rural health systems to minimize costs and provide accessible, local healthcare.
Five hospitals will receive on-site technical assistance. Twenty-five hospitals will receive remotely facilitated technical assistance. A new cohort is selected annually, and application is required to receive assistance.
The application deadline for the upcoming cohort is Friday, Nov. 30.
ORH is a project from the Texas A&M Rural and Community Health Institute, with funding from HRSA’s Federal Office of Rural Health Policy. Additional information is available on the ORH website, including eligibility information and application FAQs.
