WSHA is pleased that after a long vacancy, the Department of Health (DOH) has announced that Carrie Baranowski is now in the role of Charity Care Program Manager. This position is an important contact for hospitals as they provide charity care to patients consistent with state law. WSHA welcomes Carrie Baranowski to her new position and looks forward to working with her.
As a reminder to hospitals that operate on a calendar year, year-end reports were due on the first weekday following May 15. Hospitals may contact Carrie Baranowski directly at carrie.baranowski@doh.wa.gov to seek extensions if necessary.
