Hospitals: Watch for DOH survey on acute care bed counts

The Department of Health (DOH) will be mailing out the annual statewide surveys on hospital acute care bed counts. The surveys have been mailed via U.S. mail to hospital administrators. Hospitals should receive them the first week of May, and responses are due by June 1. These surveys assist the department in determining existing acute care bed capacity and informs the state’s Certificate of Need process. WSHA encourages hospitals to return the surveys in a timely manner to help provide an accurate count of existing bed capacity.
