WSHA members from the fourth congressional district were grateful to spend an hour this week with Rep. Dan Newhouse. Rep. Newhouse has been a strong supporter of hospitals across his district for many years. Hospital leaders shared the impacts proposed Medicaid cuts could have on patients and the ability of hospitals to serve their entire community.
Like many or all districts across the country, the fourth congressional district is home to thousands of Medicaid enrollees. In these districts, a strong Medicaid program is essential for the health care delivery system. Medicaid cuts could threaten access for everyone in the community
