Eric Jensen, who has long been a thoughtful member of our state’s hospital community, recently had his last day as chief administrative officer of EvergreenHealth Monroe.
Eric joined EvergreenHealth Monroe in January 2013 during a critical time for the organization. He helped see the hospital through the passing of the district levy in April of 2013 and the development of the affiliation with the EvergreenHealth system. Under Eric’s leadership, the hospital’s financial status has been stabilized and quality and service enhancements have been made and continue to occur. The hospital recently received the WSHA Achieving Best Care award for the second year in a row.
Jensen has been the chief executive at several other organizations, including Regional Hospital for Respiratory and Complex Care (Seattle), Kittitas Valley Community Hospital (Ellensburg) and Forks Community Hospital. He has also served on the WSHA and Association of Washington Public Hospital District (AWPHD) boards, and he is the immediate past president of the AWPHD board.
Neil Johnson, Vice President and Chief Operating Officer, will serve as Interim CAO for EvergreenHealth Monroe during the search for a permanent replacement. (Mary Kay Clunies-Ross)
