The Washington State Department of Health (DOH) has a launched a webpage for the state’s Drug Take-Back Program. The page provides information about the program and contact information. WSHA supported drug take-back legislation to keep our communities safe. The new program supports WSHA’s broader strategy of addressing the opioid crisis through informed prescribing, prevention and increased access to treatment to stop overdose deaths.
Per HB 1047, the Drug Take-Back Program reached out to DOH-licensed wholesalers, retail pharmacies, private-label distributors and repackagers, requesting lists of drug manufacturers that sell pharmaceutical products in or into the state. (Trish Anderson)
