DOH introduces updated newborn screening cards

The Washington State Department of Health (DOH) has created updated newborn screening cards for hospitals to order. Order them online through DOH. Hospitals that still use the old cards in purple should double-check the cards’ expiration dates, which can be found on the filter paper next to bloodspot circles. Do not use expired cards, as they can invalidate test results. (Trish Anderson)
