The open enrollment deadline for insurance through the Washington Health Benefit Exchange is Sunday, Jan. 31. Those who sign up by the deadline will be insured as of March 1, avoiding costly penalties in time for tax season. Adults who remain without health coverage now face individual penalties of at least $695, and families could be asked to pay upwards of $2,000. Those who purchased coverage through the exchange will need form 1095-A for their taxes, which are due April 18.
