Last week, HHS changed the process and fields for collecting daily COVID-19 data from hospitals. All hospitals must use the HHS TeleTracking portal. The NHSN COVID Module has been retired.
Effective July 22, 2020, HHS requests hospitals to report all data fields specified in the guidance on hospital reporting. Hospitals are urged to report all fields daily. HHS will pull a week’s worth of data each Wednesday to inform its Remdesivir distribution and intends to use all of the data fields from daily hospital reporting for other resource allocations.
