2015 PAC a great success!

Our 2015 PAC campaign was a terrific success, raising more than $210,000 – surpassing our ambitious goal of $200,000! This was the most our PAC has ever raised in a single year. Thanks to these contributions, we have contributed more than $77,000 to state and local candidates and more than $17,000 to federal candidates thus far in the 2015-2016 cycle. We will be giving the majority of the money raised to candidates during the summer of 2016. In the 2013-2014 cycle we were able to give more than $330,000 to local candidates and more than $37,000 to federal candidates.... Read More >>

PeaceHealth helps Medicare patients shed pounds

PeaceHealth Medical Group is offering free one-on-one weight loss counseling sessions to their Medicare patients to help battle obesity. The program, titled “Intensive Behavioral Therapy” (IBT), was developed by Medicare to help those with a body mass index (BMI) of 30 or higher keep their weight down. Memorial Family of Services and Virginia Mason affiliation is official

The affiliation between Virginia Mason and the Yakima-based Memorial Family of Services, which includes Yakima Valley Memorial Hospital, became official on Jan. 1 as expected. The affiliation — a non-cash transaction — became official following regulatory review, making Memorial Family of Services and Yakima Valley Memorial Hospital part of Virginia Mason.
