Skagit Regional Health has received a Certificate of Need from the state Department of Health, which grants it approval to enter into a long-term lease of Cascade Valley Hospital and Clinics. The approval allows the organizations to complete work on integration details and begin the 30-year lease on June 1.
The Certificate of Need documents note that the after review, the process the public hospital districts have undertaken is the best alternative for the community. The respective boards of commissioners voted in November to approve the integration. Skagit Regional Health has a commitment to grow and offer additional services, and install electronic health records at Cascade Valley Hospital and Clinics.
