I am pleased to announce Ketul Patel, CEO of Virginia Mason Franciscan Health, has started his term as the new chair of our board of directors.
His leadership comes at a pivotal time for health care in our state. As chair, he will help guide WSHA’s efforts to address pressing challenges, advance care delivery and serve our members.
“Hospitals face many hurdles as they work to keep their communities healthy and operations stable,” he said. “From workforce shortages to navigating the future of public health, my focus as chair is to ensure we tackle these challenges head on, and I look forward to building on WSHA’s success helping members deliver high-quality health care across the state.”
Ketul’s career is defined by a commitment to expanding access to care, especially for vulnerable populations. In his roles as CEO of Virginia Mason Franciscan Health and President of the Northwest Region for CommonSpirit Health, he championed initiatives to ensure equitable access to quality, safe and compassionate care while fostering a world-class patient experience.
We are thrilled to welcome Ketul as WSHA’s new board chair and benefit from the valuable perspective he brings. His leadership and deep commitment to improving health care will help us build stronger partnerships and achieve our shared goals.
As Ketul assumes his role, WSHA members can look forward to a year focused on collaboration, innovation and strengthening the health care system for all Washingtonians.
