WSHA Advocates for Needed Improvements to Clean Buildings Emergency Rulemaking

WSHA recently submitted comments to the Department of Commerce (DOC) on its emergency rulemaking that extends the application period for clean buildings law exemptions. The rule allows building owners to apply for an exemption to law requirements three years in advance of the scheduled compliance date. WSHA’s comments focused on recommending the DOC consider a hospital’s financial position when making a determination and issue additional clarifying guidance.
