I am thrilled to welcome Dr. Guy Hudson, CEO of Providence Swedish, as WSHA’s newly elected board chair. Dr. Hudson will preside over the board of directors and help lead the association’s work for the coming year. WSHA hospital and health system members elected him during our Annual Meeting Oct. 17.
Dr. Hudson brings over a decade of experience and commitment to exceptional patient care with him to his new role as WSHA board chair. He worked his way up through positions of leadership while working as a pediatric urologic surgeon. Dr. Hudson has been recognized multiple times as one of Seattle’s and Portland’s Top Doctors, and he received the Patients’ Choice Award Compassionate Doctor Recognition each year from 2011 to 2014.
In addition to serving in the Pacific Northwest, Dr. Hudson has worked with international care groups in Africa and Guatemala. It is this dedication to serving those in need through his medical expertise that has us at WSHA so excited to welcome Dr. Hudson.
We will continue to strive to have the best hospitals in the world here in Washington, and we are sure we can reach our goals under this new leadership.
Sincerely,
Cassie Sauer
