The federal Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) recently provided communication with examples of eligible personnel costs that can be reported under the Provider Relief Fund (PRF) requirements. The fact sheet recognizes many of the extraordinary costs incurred by hospitals and providers to recruit and retain staff during the crisis including;
- Incentive pay
- Retention bonuses
- Childcare assistance
- Overtime pay
- Temporary housing
- Transportation
- Salaries for new or temporary staff
- Employee referrals
- Employment agencies
- Hiring bonuses
- Other recruitment tools
To provide an update and answer questions regarding the PRF reporting process, PYA is offering a complimentary webinar “Provider Relief Fund — Office Hours Q&A” on Wednesday, September 8, 8:00 a.m. – 8:45 a.m. Pacific Time. More information and registration is available here.
Also, the PRF reporting portal is moved to the HRSA website from its previous location. While the same information is available, it is arranged differently. The new location is https://www.hrsa.gov/provider-relief. (Andrew Busz, Andrewb@wsha.org)
