Charity care laws and rules are complex, evolve regularly, impact multiple hospital departments and are active areas of enforcement by the state. WHS and WSHA have partnered to offer a new Charity Care Checkup program. These are a comprehensive review of your hospital’s compliance with both state charity care rules and, if they apply, the federal rules under 501R for nonprofit organizations. Each checkup includes a review of policies, training, materials and websites. We will also interview your staff to ask how they are handling common issues and implementing their training.
