WSHA will host the roundtable “Code Lavender – Caring for Caregivers” from 2-4 p.m., Monday, April 10 with Torrey Sanbeck, MAC., senior service excellence coach and director of the Code Lavender program for MultiCare Health System.
Prioritizing the mental health and wellbeing of hospital employees is fundamental to a healthy work environment. Creating a culture of respect by providing trauma support services to health care workers is one focus of the Committing Action for Resilient Environments (CARE) for Patients and Staff Initiative. The Code Lavender program was originally developed by the Cleveland Clinic and has been adapted to provide over-stressed or mentally/emotionally exhausted health care with professionals support that helps them maintain resilience.
In this roundtable discussion, we will talk about how MultiCare Health System has implemented an effective Code Lavender program and explore ideas for implementing, strengthening and measuring success of staff support programs.
